LOKOMOTIVA – Centre for New Initiatives in Arts and Culture in the frames of its regional/ international program of contemporary dance organizes evening for contemporary dance, workshop and meeting in Skopje from 10 - 17 of May 2006. This event involves regional guests and choreographers, members of the Balkan Express dance network.

EDGE OF EDEN - solo act of Dejan Srhoj
FORMULA- duet of Dejan Srhoj and Iskra Sukarova

EDGE OF EDEN is a story of a man who, in his solitude, oscillates between madness and delight. He performs his daily rituals in order to survive.
Dejan Srhoj is a choreographer and dancer from Slovenia, solo performer in Slovenian National Opera and Ballet that finished Ballet Academy in Germany, Munich. He performed most of the leading roles such as the Prince in Swan Lake, the Prince in Sleeping Beauty etc.
He worked in research projects with Vera Mantero, Howard Katz Fireheart, Ko Morobushi, Benoit Lachambre, Francois Michele Pesenti and many others.
In 2001 Dejan was honored with the exceptional award from the Association of Balkan artists of Slovenia and in 2003 he was given the Dance Web grant in Vienna.  
In 2000 together with Goran Bogdanovski, he is establishing Fico Ballet, a company working on the development of contemporary dance.

FORMULA is structured improvisation dealing with the research of different discourses of communication, formulas of establishing relation between different individuals in different conditions, as well as imposing codes in this type of relation, communication.
Srhoj and Sukarova meet each other through the Balkan Express dance network and this is their first collaboration on joint creation.
